The Ford Galaxy Multipurpose Continuous Friction Measuring Equipment (CFME)

The Multipurpose CFME is a sophisticated and advanced measuring system integrated into a Ford Galaxy. The front wheel drive with its compact and powerful engine leaves the rear end free for the advanced measuring equipment, and at the same time giving easy access for service inspections. The weight distribution is perfect as the 500-1200 litre water tank is placed on the C.G.

Ford Galaxy is the ultimate multipurpose vehicle that can be used for other functions than surface friction measurements. The extra high seating level and large windows makes it ideal as an inspection, and follow me vehicle. The water tank is also removable in less then 5 minutes due to quick couplings for mounting and dismounting. With the water tank dismounted three additional seats can be reinstalled. The 145-200hp (106-147 kW) engine allows fast and safe driving in all different situations during measuring operations.
